This isn't your basic strawberry shortcake. Fried biscuits topped with macerated strawberries and whipped cream make for a sinful dessert. It's much easy easier than it looks.

The secret to these amazing fried strawberry shortcakes are a can of biscuits. Homemade biscuits would be amazing, but who has time of that. Pre-made biscuit dough just makes life easier and they actually taste pretty good considering they come from a can. Plus, they taste even better fried topped with strawberries and whipped cream.

What You'll Need For This Recipe?

How To Make Fried Strawberry Shortcakes?
Its super important to split each biscuit dough in half otherwise they won't cook fully before burning. The biscuits are full of layers. Find a middle layer and gently pull apart into two pieces then reshape into a circle the best as you can.

In a skillet or pan, heat your oil to 350 degrees and fry each biscuit on both sides till golden brown. Once cool, place biscuits on a serving plate and spoon on strawberries with the juices, top with whipped cream and more strawberries, then dust with powdered sugar. That's it!

You can serve these one of two ways (pics above). The first way is to place two biscuits sided by side, then add the strawberries and whipped cream on top of both biscuits.

The second way is more traditional. Place one biscuit on the serving plate and top with the fruit and whipped cream, then place the second biscuit on top or to the side.

I prefer the first one as it allows the juices to soak into both of the biscuits making every bite is heaven. Either way, you'll end up scraping the plate so it really doesn't matter.
